Amish, Muslims to be excused from Obamacare mandate?

WordWayze The Senate health care bill just signed contains some exemptions to the "pay-or-play" mandate requiring purchase of Obamacare-approved health insurance or payment of a penalty fine. As Fox News has pointed out, for instance, the Amish are excused from the mandate:

So while most Americans would be required to sign up with insurance companies or government insurance plans, the church would serve as something of an informal insurance plan for the Amish.

Law experts say that kind of exemption withstands scrutiny.

"Here the statute is going to say that people who are conscientiously opposed to paying for health insurance don't have to do it where the conscientious objection arises from religion," said Mark Tushnet a Harvard law professor. "And that's perfectly constitutional."

Apparently, this exemption will apply similarly to believers in Islam, which considers health insurance - and, for that matter, any form of risk insurance - to be haraam (forbidden).

Steve Gilbert of Sweetness & Light calls our attention to the probability that Muslims will also be expempt. According to a March 23 publication on an authoritative Islamic Web site managed by Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid, various fatwas (religious decrees) absolutely forbid Muslim participation in any sort of health care or other risk insurance:

Health insurance is haraam like other types of commercial insurance, because it is based on ambiguity, gambling and riba (usury). This is what is stated in fatwas by the senior scholars.

In Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah (15/277) there is a quotation of a statement of the Council of Senior Scholars concerning the prohibition on insurance and why it is haraam:

It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah (15/251):

Firstly: Commercial insurance of all types is haraam because it involves ambiguity, riba, uncertainty, gambling and consuming people's wealth unlawfully, and other shar'i

Secondly: It is not permissible for the Muslim to get involved with insurance companies by working in administration or otherwise, because working in them comes under the heading of cooperating in sin and transgression, and Allaah forbids that as He says: "but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment"

[al-Maa'idah 5:2]. End quote.
reservations.
And Allaah knows best.

So, it turns out that observant Muslims are not only strictly forbidden from buying any health insurance under the ObamaCare mandate, but may also not even work for any company that provides such insurance or any other form of commercial insurance.

It is not made clear whether or not it is religiously okay to accept "free" non-insured medical care such as that offered in hospital ERs and to some who are covered by Medicaid.

Whether it's all right to serve as a doctor, nurse, or orderly caring for patients whose medical services are being paid for by insurance is not covered in the present response - but one could probably obtain a religious ruling from the Sheikh, whose site welcomes the submission of questions about Islamic law and practices.

The Dirty Little Secret About ACORN

I think most of you have seen the news in the past couple of days that ACORN is supposedly folding up operations as they blame a shortfall in funding. Now, before we celebrate the apparent death of this sleazebag organization, let's go back in time here a bit at Holger Awakens.

Some of you may remember a few posts I did regarding the Iranian navy and their cigar-shaped speed boats that have harassed British and American naval ships over the years. In one post, I paid a good deal of attention as to WHY the Iranians were running those speed boats closer and closer to American naval ships - the idea was for the Iranians to test just how close they could get to an American fighting vessel before the Americans would fire their guns. It was a test of boundaries.

So, with that in mind, let's go back to the Obamabots of ACORN. ACORN is blaming their demise on lack of funds but we all know the legal rammifications that beheld that organization after they were proven to have tampered with voter registration in the 2008 elections. And I know that many pundits have said that ACORN won't go away...they will just rebrand under a new name, and that is one idea I agree 100% with. But let me go a step further with what is actually the true "dirty little secret" about ACORN.

It is my contention and observation that ACORN, for the past few years, has been nothing but a front group for the Marxist revolutionaries in this country (and mind you, when I say "Marxist revolutionaries", I don't mean some dudes that look like Che Guavara but more specifically men that look like Barack Hussein Obama and David Axelrod and George Soros and the group of men that we never see, who tell Obama and Axelrod and Soros what to do). Here's what the plan was all along for ACORN, by the design of the Marxists:

ACORN's mission was to organize and execute the greatest number of voter registrations in the history of American politics for the 2008 Presidential election. At the same time, ACORN was tasked with a test. That test was to record the level of pushback and investigation by the government of America, the Republican party, state attorney generals and the American public of voter registration fraud during this huge voter registration operation. In other words, the Marxist thinktank in America wanted to know what the reaction in America would be to voter fraud, tampering with the identities of American voters and various voting poll violations. So, in 2008, to a limited extent...that is exactly what ACORN did and as we know now, they were caught in some instances, prosecuted in a few instances and a sprinkling of ACORN officials actually were sentenced. That was the dirty little secret of ACORN up until now.

Now, let's fast forward to the November mid-term elections of 2010. The Marxist planning council of America has big plans for the upcoming November House and Senate elections. Phase Two of the voting fraud plan will take place with the "new" ACORN ... the new ACORN will be rebranded to be less visible, less aggressive, less notable but will in essence have the same goal of total new voter registrations for the mid-term elections. However, in Phase Two, the actual execution of voter fraud will exponentially increase and will take place in EVERY single state in America. The planned result will simply be this: Leftist Democrat candidates who appeared vulnerable to defeat will amazingly hold their seats in the House and in the Senate and also, some key Conservative targets will be surprisingly defeated.

What the Marxists found out in 2008 is that they could get along with a lot in voter fraud in select areas and that in essence, the end result was a minor exposure with little media coverage. The 2010 elections will be well over before any discovery of what has happened occurs and with the new organization's cloak of anonymity, it will be nearly impossible to claim the fraud was centralized. And I shouldn't have to explain to you by now what is up the Marxists' sleeve for the 2012 election, you get the idea.

To further my contention, I ask you the following questions and I ask you to answer them, keeping in mind what I just described here:

1. The recent healthcare insurance bill that was passed by the Democrats in the House and Senate was labelled as "political suicide" by many political observers - a number of those professional pundits have all but guarranteed the 2008 mid-terms to be swept by Republicans. But I ask you, didn't it seem like the Democrats didn't really care about the mid-term elections? Did it almost seem like they weren't worried?

2. Barack Hussein Obama has done nothing politically to change his behavior since his polling numbers started tanking. Wouldn't a President and/or politician tend to think of his second term more in terms of preservation? Does it not seem like Obama isn't that worried about being reelected to a second term?

3. Didn't you find it odd that ACORN announced their dissolution so formally and publicly? Wouldn't you think that they would have preferred to just fade away? Or would it be easier to mask the new rebranded entity with the public's idea that a voter registration organization was completely gone?

I listened to Sean Hannity's radio broadcast this afternoon and every other word out of his mouth was about the crushing defeat that the Republicans have to issue the Democrats in November. I didn't call Mr. Hannity but if I had, I would have simply asked him these two questions: First, "Sean, do you REALLY think that after 100 years of the Communists seeking power in America, and having achieved it in 2009, they will simply be happy with letting it go after only two years of power?" and second, "Sean, you've seen this Congress, this President pass laws, issue executive orders and form policy that no one in their right mind would have anticipated happening in a free democratic republic, do you really think they won't bring forth everything within their power to ensure they win the 2010 elections?"

While we can chuckle a little at the ACORN announcement this week and perhaps even point a finger at them and say "we got you" ... I'm here to say that ACORN has been Romper Room, it's been little kids playing cowboys and indians...Phase Two will be nuclear stealth war and if successful, will nail shut the coffin for our Constitution and our Republic.

G_d Save America.
